Served from June 1984 to September 1989. Basic Training Ft. Jackson S.C./ Advanced Individual Training (military occupation) at Ft. Benjamin Harrison Indiana (graduated as a Personnel Administrative Specialist). Airborne School at Ft. Benning Ga. (graduated from Airborne School and qualified as a parachutist). Permanent duty station was Ft. Bragg, NC. Served in the 307th Med. Battalion/ 82nd Airborne Division (now called 307th Forward Support Brigade). Later sustained a hair-line fracture on my hip and was medically terminated form jump-status. Was reassigned to HHC, 35th Signal Brigade, 18th Airborne Corps. I enjoyed serving my country. I currently belong to an Veterans organization serving as the current Vice President. Our troops need all the help they can get and I will do what I can to help.

Entered the Army in Jan '73, completed basic training at Ft Ord, CA, and MP School at Ft Gordon, GA. Assigned to a Nike Herc missile battery in Gy until 1974, then assigned as a CID agent from 1974 - 1976 in Schwaebisch Gmuend, GY. Stayed in the reserves after going off active duty, and recalled to AD after Sep 11th for 4 years. Served as a Criminal Investigator at Ft Hood, TX; Baghdad, Iraq; Protective Service Detail for SecDef and DepSecDef in D.C., and Fraud Investigator at San Antonio, TX. Retired as a CW4 in 2010.

Volunteered for the draft in 1967 and was inducted into the Army. Trained as Airborne and became qualified parachutist. Volunteered to Ranger school and became a qualified Airborne Ranger. Volunteered to Special Forces and became a qualified Green Beret. Trained as communication specialist. Sent to Vietnam and served on Special Forces A-Teams. Was wounded seriously three times and lost a kidney. Was awarded Silver Star Medal, Two Bronze Star Medals, and three Purple Hearts. Fought in the Tet Offensive in 1968.Discharged in 1968.
