I did my basic training and AIT at Fort Hood, Texas. I was reservists with a training facility in Amarillo Tx and I did my drilling at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Drafted into the Army January, 1966. Basic at Fort Bliss, AIT at Fort Ord. Tour of duty in Vietnam as an infantryman for two months, OJT to become a combat medic for thirty days and finished my tour as a combat medic. I did my job well. 2 years active, 4 years reserve.
